Shooting, killing, murdering. Violence has filled the earth just as it did in the beginning at Gen 6: 11, "The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. Some wonder what is wrong with our world. The newspaper, TV, radio, and all our electronic media report all aspects of crime and violence. It truly has filled the earth. The heart of mankind is failing toward God. Man no longer wants to endure sound doctrine; The Bible says for the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; (2 Tim 4:3).
The time has come that man is refusing to allow God to reign in situations hence the reason we have so much fleshy driven actions. It is no wonder that murder, sex; adultery is all rising to be the top issues. God has said that this would be happening as we live in the last days. My question to you is, where is your heart in the midst of it all.
We must not get caught up in this riotousness living. 1 John 2:15 (Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him) talks explicitly to not loving the world and its lust. If you love the world and not God, then you are contributing to the decline spiritual atmosphere. The atmosphere is declining because we don’t love God. When we don’t love God, then we don’t obey him. He said if you love me then keep my commandments (John 14:15). Time is at hand; you can start today to turn your heart toward God. Don’t let this world cause you heart to be failing toward God. Turn to God now! Make the atmosphere Godly!
